Large and small paintings, prints made with different engraving techniques and “mixed media” in which I try to reinterpret the classic iconography of the female characters of a history within the imagination of the culture pin-up of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. I’m particularly fascinated by the biblical figure of Salomè, a symbol of feminine sensuality, malice and strength, so I chose the name to assign to my character.

Salomè wants to represent all women, she does not have a precise age or nationality, she conveys a sense of disorientation in the face of equality that today has become the fundamental principle of gender relations. From this derives her exuberant sexuality, her malice and her power over men while always maintaining the elegance that distinguishes her.
