Salomè – Aperitif Time!

Angela Matera represents Salome in her paintings in various moments of daily life.

Painting on canvas, linocuts, wood, zinc, collagraph, monoprint, collage … are the techniques that the artist mainly uses. The peculiarity of her work consists in enriching each work with collages of fabrics or papers purchased during her travels, or made by her, which make the prints “unique” despite being part of a limited edition.

Salome is inspired by the biblical figure who exploits her sensuality to get what she desires.

Salome has no age, she has no nationality, she represents all women, she is a strong, sensual, sometimes sweet, sensitive, sometimes perplexed woman. She loves life, love, travel, nature. She loves you!

She is the woman of today who manages to be a mirror of the past and a projection into the future.
